July

We have been busy this month....we have had a full house. The Dohertys were all here (off an on) for a visit. Pam joined us first, then Jim, and finally Colleen and Jim came up on the train. We had a lot of fun. We had a 4th of July filled with TONS of food---and Chris burning himself :) We saw Eclipse (yes!)...and we took a train ride to Chicago. Maggie had SO MUCH fun. She rode the ferris wheel and the carousel. Pam and Chris got a ton of planting done around the house and our yard looks fantastic.
We also had family pictures made at Rock Springs Park. One of the mothers (Elizabeth Highcock at High 5 Photography) from Maggie's ballet class just started her photography business and was giving away free sessions. I think she got some really good shots. I can't wait to print them out.
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer....Maggie starts ballet (again) and PRE-SCHOOL soon. I don't know if I am ready for it.
PS...I need to figure out how to get these pictures where I want them in the blog :)

New to the blogging world.

Good morning and welcome to our family blog. I thought that it was time I started writing about our journeys and the fun things we do around town. This will be a great opportunity to keep track of all that we do so that it will be easily accessible when I finally get the time to scrapbook :) Also, this is an easy way for our non-facebook friends to catch up with us.

Miss Maggie had her stage rehearsal for the end of the year recital last night. We were worried that she would be scared (like she was in December), but she walked right out there and performed with no issues. It has been wonderful seeing her transform into a little performer. I love it!

Liam is cutting more teeth, which has made him a grouchy mess over the past few days, but even on his worst days he has such a happy personality. He has started growling and showing us his "mean" scream. I know we shouldn't encourage screaming, but it is hard not to laugh. Chris calls it his "war face."

I hope you will all visit us here now and then and find out what is going on in our world. Thanks!
